Book review 6 Matilda
Matilda is a little girl, but she is not just a little girl. Matilda is very smart. When she was three years old, she could read newspaper. Matilda wanted to read a book. One day, she asked her father for a book, but he said no. He said that they have good TV, so she doesn’t need books, and he also said to just watch the TV. Matilda’s family is strange. Her father and mother are not interested in their children. Matilda has a older brother. He is spoiled by his parents. They are sometimes mean to Matilda. However Matilda is smart, so she studies by herself somehow. As she grows up, she starts to go to a school. The principal of the school is a woman. She is called Miss Trunchbull. She is big, and she is a terrible woman. She always uses violence on students. Students and teachers are scared of her. Matilda’s teacher’s name is Miss Honey. She is about twenty-three years old, and a nice teacher. Students like her. Miss Honey knew that Matilda is a very clever girl, and she thinks that Matilda should stay in a higher class, then she can learn more. However Miss Trunchbull says no. Then Miss Honey goes to Matilda’s house to talk with Matilda’s parents about her, and she notices that the parents are not very nice for Matilda. Miss Honey wants to help Matilda to make her life better. After a while, they Miss Honey makes Matilda to stay at Miss Honey’s home. Matilda likes Miss Honey, and Miss Honey is nice to Matilda, so it was good for Matilda. Matilda notices that she has a mysterious power that people don’t have, and she practices a lot to improve the power. Miss Honey and Matilda take revenge to Miss Trunchbull by using the power! This book was easy to understand because I had watched this story on TV before.(321/3746)
